Funny Bust Face Dandelion Seed Head
thingiverse
This is my very first 3D model created using Sculptris. Dandelion seed heads can be preserved by coating them with lacquer while they're still attached to the plant, then cutting them off once the lacquer has dried completely. Next, any desired color spray can be applied to finish the job. These preserved seed heads will remain intact indefinitely. The model I created is a complete dandelion head, including the top portion of the seed head in its design, but it cuts off at the right height when 3D printing so that it fits perfectly with the actual dandelion seed head - I'm not entirely sure why this happens! I've been using my Creality CR-10 Mini for eighteen months now and I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. To assemble the model, simply turn the head ninety degrees so that it sits upright on a flat surface. When 3D printing the model, use a layer height of either 0.2 or 0.1 millimeters, set the shell thickness to 0.4 millimeters, adjust the flow rate to eighty-five percent, and select an infill density of zero percent. Be sure to enable brim adhesion and supports for every part of the model during the printing process.
