I required more robust support for my funnels, something that could be easily and quickly printed in 3D rather than ordered from a catalog. The initial version was a bit too small, but the second iteration boasted a 40mm support opening, offering greater stability and reliability. Only the first version has been printed to date, as shown in the accompanying photos. Print support is necessary for the second version, although the first can be printed without it. UPDATE: I've added a new file called Funnel Support_03, which features a cylindrical "holder" instead of the previous polygon design. This alteration should provide even better support, but please note that this design has yet to be thoroughly tested. To accommodate thicker stand rods or less flexible plastics, I've also made slight adjustments to the center pin's position for locking. Print Settings: Rafts: Resolution: 0.20 mm Infill: 10% - 15% Notes: Support needed for v2. I employed a raft – an optional feature. Helper discs may be useful if no raft is used. I printed at 0.20 mm layer height with infill at 15%, utilizing three shells. Your results will vary, but I was able to achieve sufficient tension (thanks to the flex in my ABS arms) to keep it secure on the stand. Post-Printing: Basic edge cleanup and raft removal were performed. How I Designed This: I created this design using Blender's custom modeling tools.
