Adsorption tubes are utilized for gas sampling analysis; they comprise glass or stainless steel constructions loaded with a high-surface area sorbent. The choice of sorbent enables the extraction of specific chemical compounds via adsorption. Either pre-filled tubes with particular sorbents or empty ones for custom filling are available, accompanied by holders and funnels to facilitate the process. Credit goes to Carlos A. Neves from IAG-USP (idea and completion), Adalgiza Fornaro (supervisor), and Claudimir L. do Lago (design and execution). The financial support of Fapesp (2012/06642-1 and 2008/58104-8), CNPq (304239/2010-0), and CAPES (PNPD and Proex) is acknowledged. The funnel and holder were developed using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014, Cura 14.03, and printed with a RepRap Mendel and ABS filament, then sanded, cleaned, and softened in an acetone chamber.
