
Funnel Adapter for Anemometer Eurochron WS4003

<p>With this adapter it is possible to attach a funnel to the WS4003 anemometer. I have designed this funnel adapter to measure my air conditioning system at home.</p> <p>The adapter can be printed easily without support and with snappers not depending on layer adhesion.</p> <p><em>Needed material:</em></p> <ul> <li>Anemometer Eurochron WS4003</li> <li>any kind of box having a plane area of 60mm diameter</li> <li>2x screws 2.2 x 4.5 mm</li> <li>4x screws 2.2 x 6.5 mm or longer, depending on the funnel thickness</li> </ul> <p><em>Assembly:</em></p> <ul> <li>Insert the 2 snappers into the baseplate. They are mounted by a screw but for a reliable fixation they should be additionally glued.</li> <li>Cut a hole with a diameter of 28mm into the box. You can use the baseplate or backplate as a caliber.</li> <li>Fix the box by screwing together backplane with baseplane.</li> <li>Snap in the anemometer when you want to measure. After measuring you can remove it.</li> </ul> <p><em>Usage:</em></p> <ul> <li>Put the box over the air valve and measure the air flow.</li> <li>You can make an estimation of the air flow:<br/> air flow:<strong>f = a* v</strong><br/> size of free tunnel area:<br/> a = ra2 - ri2 - (3<em> 9 mm</em> 1.5 mm) = 412 mm2</li> <li>In short:<strong>f [m3/h] = v [m/s]* 1.48</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>History</strong></p> <p><em>Version 0.1.0:</em></p> <ul> <li>First published version and currently in use.</li> </ul> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p><strong>Rafts:</strong> Doesn't Matter<br/> <strong>Supports:</strong> No<br/> <strong>Resolution:</strong> 0.15<br/> <strong>Infill:</strong> 100%<br/> <strong>Filament:</strong> PLA is fine.</p>
