My First Maya Character Based On Funko I've always been fascinated by the quirky charm of Funko POPs, and I decided to bring that same sense of fun to life in a 3D model. Using Maya, I created a custom character inspired by my favorite Funko figure - a mischievous little demon with a penchant for trouble. The first step was to create a base mesh for the character's body. I started with a simple cube and began extruding it to form the main shape of the figure. From there, I added some curves to give the model a more defined silhouette. The process was surprisingly quick, thanks to Maya's intuitive tools. Next, I worked on adding details such as texture, shading, and lighting. This is where things got really interesting - I experimented with different materials and techniques to capture the vibrant colors and playful vibe of Funko POPs. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely worth it in the end. One of the most challenging parts of the project was creating the character's facial expressions. I wanted them to be as realistic and emotive as possible, so I spent a lot of time tweaking the mesh and adjusting the skin settings. The result is a face that looks both adorable and mischievous at the same time. To finish off the model, I added some final details such as eyes, eyebrows, and teeth. It was amazing to see how much personality the character gained with each new addition. In the end, my Maya character based on Funko turned out even better than I had hoped - it's a true representation of the fun and whimsy that makes Funko POPs so beloved.
