Link to mycopter's nose cutting jig, thanks mate! https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4539843 FPV nose for Multiplex Funjet Ultra 2 designed to fit the Runcam Hybrid 4K camera. This nose also fits the regular funjet 2 and the old funjet and funjet ultra! Cutting the nose off a funjet straight is not an easy task, but I came up with a method that worked out great after several failed attempts. First, measure the nose with calipers set to 46mm and try to hold it as straight as possible between the ribs without compressing the foam. Next, insert a needle into one of the ribs on one side. Now take a piece of string and insert a needle through it, then center it at the point of the nose so that the string can swivel around the needle. Hold the string against the needle in the rib and insert another needle through it, making sure it protrudes less than 1mm. Swivel the string around the nose, poking holes along its length. Insert needles into these holes to create a guide for cutting. I used a new razor to make a shallow slit through the laminate around the entire nose, supporting it against the needles as I went. Then, I used a hacksaw blade and carefully chopped off the nose, letting the laminate guide the blade. If your model isn't laminated, you can use tape to create a temporary support system for cutting. To print the nose, I recommend using supports everywhere and 20% support density, along with 20% support density on the LID. For the lid itself, use 40% infill and make sure to enable the brim. Don't worry if the supports fail on the lid - it seems to sort itself out over time. You can also adjust the custom z-seam setting to move the seam where it's less visible. Before installing the lid with the camera inside the nose, insert and remove it a few times to loosen it up so it doesn't bind. To secure the lid in place, simply apply a tiny bead of glue on top of the seam after it's fully seated. This makes it easy to remove the lid if needed.
