Funerary stele decorated with a crown

myminifactory

Funerary stele adorned with an ornate crown, dating back to the early 3rd century, originating from Acmonia in Phrygia, crafted from high-quality marble. Currently housed at the Musée d'Art et d'Histoire within the Musée du Cinquantenaire complex in Brussels, Belgium. Created using Zephyr3D Lite software by 3DFlow.\r\nThe decorative elements on the door leaves are highlighted here with a brief description, but the door itself is set into a vault supported by two substantial pilasters and accompanied by an epitaph that reads: "Tryphon Gaïos and Onésime will preserve their memory". Below this inscription, a stunning crown takes center stage, while above, delicate rosettes and acroterres shaped like stylized palmettes add a touch of elegance.\r\nFor the latest updates and behind-the-scenes insights, consider following me on Twitter at @GeoffreyMarchal.
