Funerary spirit
myminifactory
The fluid movement of Rodin's Funerary Spirit and its distinctive head position evoke the image of a young person tumbling. This sculpture was first displayed by Rodin without arms at an exhibition in Brussels in 1899. The following year, he presented it again during the Universal Exhibition in Paris, this time placing it on a tall column with its left arm draped elegantly behind its head in the Pavillon de l'Alma.
