Onessimos was a trusted household manager of Aelius Menogenes, a powerful commissioner in the Roman administration of Macedonia. He was accompanied by his devoted daughter Onessime and his loving wife Neike, who unfortunately had passed away. Onessimos is also depicted at a somber funerary banquet, where he stands alongside two women: one seated woman is likely his grieving mother, while the other is his tearful daughter Onessime.
