This is a distinctive amphora that stands out for its rounded shape and the missing upper portion. Two robust vertical handles adorn this vessel with intricate anthemia designs on top of Aeolic-inspired capitals. Typically associated with funerary monuments, large ceramic vases like these were often used to mark graves, along with stone imitations that served a similar purpose.
