Functional Web Shooter (Compliant Mechanism) - Spider-man or Miles Morales

My son wanted to be Miles Morales for Halloween so I added to this nerf-style shooter to make it wrist mountable. I made covers to cover the top and bottom to give it the right look and make sure it didn't pinch/catch on clothes/skin. The holes for the covers to mount to are 4mm diameter, so you could probably use M4 bolts in some way, but I just ran some nice red cord through it.I didn't change the mechanical parts at all, just added mounts that elastic can mount to. You will need supports for inside the mounts, but make sure none are added to the model. I set my support overhang angle to 80% to ensure this! This is based on the small one by the way. I also modified the discs it launches by adding a chamfer to make them more aerodynamic. You may find that the discs may be a little tall if they don't fit in nicely. It seemed to depend on the filament I used, one type fitted perfectly and the other was a little tight. You can either sand them a tiny bit or shrink the height in the slicer by 5-10%.You can see I printed the covers in two different colours by pausing my print and changing filament.I ran some wide elastic through the mounts and sewed the ends together and it works great. I suppose straps with clips would work well. They fitted an 8 year old fine, and also my wrist quite well! There are two makes - one for the spider-man version and one for the miles morales. There are lots of photos showing it all together and much higher quality than the annoying 500k limit on the thing post!
