On Saturday, I successfully launched my first rocket after overcoming numerous challenges in building a custom lightweight yet sturdy model. In lieu of completing homework, I opted for this thrilling project that features an epoxy/fiberglass nose cone (possibly with parachute and fin sanding). The rocket will be capable of accommodating the D12-7 engine/motor for high-altitude flights towards CUMULUS. As time permits, I plan to incorporate improved curved fins from someone else's design, and if dimensions allow, print it with a 3D printer.
