Functional Custom Charge Blade!

Functional Custom Charge Blade!

myminifactory

I'm entering this design for Capcom's Design Competition. I created a custom, functional Charge Blade called "Wasser Starker Arm" featuring a mechanical system within its shield that expands when rotated downwards, completing the sword-and-shield to axe transformation. Dimensions listed are for the sheathed form; sword and shield form remains the same, but in axe mode, dimensions are 222mm x 103mm x 23mm. To assemble this model, you'll need small sections of 1.5mm styrene rods as pins allowing the mechanism to work. If you don't have these, simply ream out holes with a hobby knife and use 1.75mm printer filament segments instead. If you decide to print this yourself, I recommend not painting it, as joints are designed for clearance and paint may obstruct function. If you still want to paint it, only paint the outside or use spray paint in thinner layers. The 3D model renderings appear broken, but printed parts work perfectly fine, so don't worry about that. I'm thrilled to have completed this model and display it proudly! It's enjoyable to play with and fiddle around with. I hope you'll enjoy using and having this design too!
