This is a body kit for use with the Haynes/ Franzis Build it yourself Bat Detector kit. Its a screw together body, to give it a more rugged, cooler look, whilst retaining all the functionality. Wiring it together is identical to the included instructions except... Once your board is done, fit the battery connector, add soft wires to the speaker and pots, and fit them into the case BEFORE connecting them to the board. I used some heat shrink to keep everything non-shorting, and it is a tight fit, but they WILL all go in. The last piece to connect is the ultrasonic mic, which should have 4cm of wire added to the signal leg before fitting. Hardwire the shield leg direct to the board, and finish your last connections. apart from the kit and the shell, you will need 4 short M2 screws, to secure the plate, and a length of ribbon 3" long. this is tied to the small bridge by the battery box, and passes under the battery, making it easier to remove when you need to change it. FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE! I am not keeping any money from this design. Anything I receive, I am donating directly to the Bat Conservation Trust. www.bats.org.uk
