Function Graph
thingiverse
This is a precise rendering of a graph of a degree-3 function of two variables featuring indent gridlines. The STL file provides a solid model ideal for use as a mold in thermoformed plastic, where rounded edges and beveled sides prevail. This exacting model was born from the [Raising Calculus to the Surface](http://raisingcalculus.winona.edu/) project and is now employed within the [Manipulative Calculus](http://www.manipulativecalculus.com) project at Harvard University. The design process began entirely in OpenSCAD, yet we leveraged Mathematica to pinpoint a function that perfectly suited our objectives for multivariable calculus lessons.
