These parts swap out the stock aluminum tail boom with a carbon fiber tube. My tube measures 12mm OD and 10mm ID, cut to match the length of the original boom precisely. Print one copy (Front) FunCopterFrontBoomPushRodHolder.stl This part also slides onto the outside of the tail boom to secure the servo push rod. Print one copy (Rear) FunCopterRearBoomPushRodHolder.stl These inserts slide inside your carbon fiber boom to keep the torque tube centered. Print four copies, evenly distributed within the tail boom, and apply oil as needed. FuncopterTrqTubeInsert.stl These connectors plug into each end of the new boom. Print two copies (I glued the rear end that attaches to the tail side to prevent it from getting stuck in the tail section) Funcopter round tube converter Simple.stl Drill out the holes on these parts to create more space for the torque tube. You will continue using the stock torque tube and gears. Drill two small holes in the new boom at the same locations as the old aluminum tail boom. It may be helpful to mark the hole for the screw that holds the tail section on by sliding it into place first. The screw that secures the tail section is a bit long, you might want to add some washers or substitute with a shorter screw. I haven't attempted to put the rear canopy back on yet. I'm not sure if this modification strengthens the helicopter or simply shifts crash damage to another area nearby.
