Using Solidworks 2016, a creative gear mechanism was modeled based on an inspiring image. The rendering was done with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition. Editing the frames resulted in AVI/X264 and BMP formats. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format. PhotoScape created animated GIFs from the renders, which were further edited using IrfanView. The model is available in various formats including 3D-PDF, ZIM, SIMLAB, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, SketchUp, 3DS, and Simlab Composer 6. Animated views can be accessed via the free Simlab Viewer app on iOS and Android devices through the ZIM file.
