Fun With Gears IV Kinetic Art

grabcad

A YouTube video inspired "Kinetic Art" model with a simplified mechanism of four gears and two stationary grids that translate, as depicted in the "scheme" image. The design was created using Solidworks 2015 and rendered with Simlab Composer 6 Mechanical Edition. Frames were edited and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP files, video remuxed to MP4, and gifs made with Photoscape. Editing of renders was done using IrfanView, while the 3D-PDF, ZIM, and SIMLAB files are all animated. The ZIM file can be viewed on IOS and Android devices through the Simlab Viewer app. The model is available in multiple formats including Solidworks 2015, Simlab Composer 6, DAE, STEP, IGES, STL, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, and ZIM.
