Fume Extractor Inline Fan and HEPA Filter Holder

Fume Extractor Inline Fan and HEPA Filter Holder

To finish building the fume extractor, I had to find a way to ensure that air flowed efficiently out of the hose. What I wanted was an inline setup with a HEPA filter to minimize particulate pollution. Additionally, I needed the filter to be easy to replace without causing too much inconvenience, so I reversed the thread on the 3-4" adapter and the corresponding side of the filter holder. This allowed me to rotate the filter holder while keeping the fan and hose stationary during disassembly. Note that "Filastruder_fume_extractor_male_threaded_4_inch_duct_holder.stl" is identical to the model from the Fume Extractor thing, with no modifications made. It's included for convenience purposes only. You'll likely only need one copy, but I printed a second one specifically for the exhaust side of the fan as part of the debris shield, and also in case I want to add something later to that end. All parts should print without any supports when oriented correctly. However, printing with a brim might be beneficial for some of them. There's even a sacrificial bridge built into the screw holes of the filter holder p2 so it can be printed without additional support material. Simply punch through it before assembly. Here is the BOM: - Filament and several 12mm M3 screws along with square nuts. - Print one copy each of all parts, except for the male threaded duct holder which should be printed in duplicate. - 4" HEPA filter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078GQ13RP - 4" duct inline booster fan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072N332WT
