The design aims to eliminate unpleasant odors from the Prusa-Mendal without enclosing the entire unit. A blower fan sucks fumes directly from the extruder nozzle and expels them through a window. Currently, locating thin-walled flexible tubing for connecting the nozzle to the fan is challenging; clear vinyl tube used presently adds unwanted force on the x-carriage. The exhaust hose is 1-1/4" Drain Pump Hose and the input is 3/4"OD Clear Vinyl tubing. Attachments are done with zip ties. Two blower fans in series may be necessary depending on exhaust pipe length.
