I decided to create this remix because aligning the 4 bearings to allow smooth Y-axis movement is extremely challenging. To make it easier, I added a longer LM8UU bearing from the IGUS STYLE design found on Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24990), printed in PLA material. The bearing housings were adapted to accommodate the 100mm LM8UU. I have included the project file for Sketchup, allowing you to edit it as needed. For this Y carriage, a heat bed of 200x200 is required, which is the most common hotbed size. Print the Y carriage and the bearing housings using your preferred settings. I printed the Y carriage with a layer height of 0.24mm and a nozzle diameter of 0.4mm at 40% infill. The bearing housings were printed the same way, but with 100% infill. The bearing must be printed with an external perimeter line of 1mm (using Slic3r's Print settings - Advanced - External perimeters = 1) and no infill, with a layer height ranging from 0.1 to 0.2mm. It is crucial to print slowly for the best results. This configuration worked perfectly for me using a 0.4mm nozzle, resulting in ideal size dimensions. On February 11th, I made some adjustments to the internal part of the LM8UU (100mm) bearing, ensuring that the contact surface matches that of an original bearing, which reduces friction. Additionally, I optimized the design to print without supports or a layer fan.
