This modified version of the "Fully printable PCB vise" ditches glue for a dovetail joint, though it may lack visual appeal; it functions effectively. I remodeled the design in Solidworks, changing the swirl's neck thickness to 20mm due to a previous break. The jaw was modified as well, loosening the grip by enlarging the radius and pitch angle while reducing length, ensuring a secure hold without tightness issues. Vertical gaps were removed, overcoming printing difficulties. A 2013 update included screw and thumbscrew remodeling: the screw was changed to a horizontal layout, shortened for faster printing without internal flap breakages. The base features an aid for easier first-layer printing. Lastly, the thumbscrew interconnect was altered from round to rectangle, improving durability while still accepting original cross interconnects. A filename mix-up led to confusion regarding left and right parts.
