Based on my own design which is in turn based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2398466 with the rack fitting replaced with the one from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2610259. I found the original fitting which used the gimbal supplied with the unit to be both too prone to unintentional movement and also too far forward thus poorly utilizing space on the platen. Then I further reduced the length of the hub and rack/mount assembly to make the unit even smaller front to back. The goal is to produce a smaller unit that is easier to work with.
