I got into chess recently and didn't have a pretty board to play on so i designed the board and pieces as a bit of a blender challenge for myself (i know there are already many other chess sets out there, i wanted the challenge and pride of desinging it myself).It's a pretty easy albeit long printing project.I designed the pieces to be the maximum size allowed by FIDE rules using this chart So you can scale the pieces down as much as you like to end up with a more managable size, scaling up will end up being way too big. I like the size board at 100%.Everything is printable without supports with the one exception being the knight, it needs supports for it's chin.I opted to design the board so each square is printed separately with the top face facing the printplate. This makes it possible to print without supports.In order to print an entire chess set you will need to print the following pieces:8 pawns per color, 16 total2 rooks per color, 4 total2 bishops per colot, 4 total2 knights per color, 4 total1 king per color, 2 total1 queen per color, 2 total (optionally print extra queens for when you convert pawns)corner board x2 per color, 4 totalcenter board x18 per color, 36 totalside board x12 per color, 24 totalconnection clips x112 total.I now have a fun chess set and so can you! Please check out my other designs on my profile and don't forget to like and post your makes! https://www.printables.com/social/335262-dilem/models
