Covid-19 is a pandemic caused by SARS Cov-2, a virus that belongs to the family of coronaviruses and attacks the throat and lungs, causing infection and respiratory disease. More than one million people have been infected worldwide, making the situation extremely critical. In order to contribute to fighting against Covid-19, I designed this BiPAP Artificial Respirator which may help people with the disease. It is a fully printable, simple, and low-cost device that works on the crankshaft principle. The device uses a simple electric motor that rotates a disk, moving a slot forward and backward. An explanatory video can be found here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=16wMFSeaZbOV9-VTlchxO9XFnseEL3rwE For simplicity, neither stepper motor is required, nor Arduino programming is necessary. The motor can be replaced by any rotating device such as a drill or an electric screwdriver. Due to the large number of patients occupying hospitals, AmbuBag may not be available, so it is not needed. Because peep valves are expensive, I used the one designed by Filip Kober. Printable ventilator-free respiratory: P.E.E.P. Valve The device can supply 1, 2, 4, 6, or 10 patients depending on the motor's power. The design of the head, mask, and motor were imported from following sources: - Human head: COVID MASK MK3 - The Mask: Mask for Respirator-Free Reanimation Venturi's Valve - Motor: Electric Motor I hope that this device will be useful in helping people with Covid-19.
