Fully parametric measuring scoop
thingiverse
This fully parametric measuring scoop/cup enables users to specify desired volume, radius, shell thickness, and handle size for a customizable, printable design. The original concept stemmed from the request of creating a new coffee scoop. To ensure successful printing, the bottom is conically shaped; its angle can be adjusted by altering the ratio of volume in the cylinder section to the cone's volume. Various fixes and improvements have been made, including adding a parameter for handle support structure size and uploading a printable one-ounce scoop model. The v2 update features smoother cylinders, optional Mickey Mouse ears for raftless printing, and an option for a round exterior with a conical interior. Early print tests of both versions resulted in excellent outcomes. To create your own custom scoop, refer to the provided one-ounce coffee scoop example file (one-oz-coffee-scoop.scad) as guidance. For optimal printing, use 0 extra shells and print with a layer height of 0.265mm and 100% infill on a Thing-O-Matic.
