Fully Parametric 90° Fan Mount
thingiverse
A fastener to attach a fan in a perpendicular angle to a surface. Completely parametric, within the SCAD file you are able to define your fan size, modify thickness, expand width, shorten depth, lengthen height, modify material thickness and add sunks for countersunk screws. Fan sizes supported thus far: 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 92mm, 120mm, 135mm, 140mm. If your fan size is absent simply inform me, measure the outer frame edge and the center-to-center-hole-distance and I'll include it here. Indeed, not the best SCAD style you might encounter so far, yet it operates as intended. Instructions The SCAD file comprises certain variables that should be modified by yourself (all in mm): fan size // self-explanating hole_dist // center-to-center distance of the fan's screw-holes material thickness // wall thickness of the fastener f_mnt_holes_dia // diameter of fan screw holes, generally 4.5mm in size; forty millimeters and others possess three point five mm diameter. thirty millimeters are exceptions. s_mnt_holes_dia // diameter of surface mount hole nextra_height // added height over surface nextra_depth // depth extension of the mounting plate's underside nextra_width // enhanced stability by adjusting fan screws width. to disable this functionality, set extra_width = '0' countersunk_surface // activates generation of recesses on top mount if countersunk screws will be utilized; defaults at one countersunk_fan // for countersunk screw fasteners in fans also activate sunks in holes.
