fully enclosed top cover for Raspberry Pi 2 Box
thingiverse
Took the V2 of Top from Thing http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1368797 (Raspberry Pi 2 Box) created by Credo, added a 3mm high rectangle to cover display cable cutouts and expansion header openings. This modification enables Unicorn HAT's LEDs to diffuse through the lid without gaps, making them less harsh on the eyes due to their intense brightness. I made this adjustment because direct access to these RGB LEDs is not possible with their current intensity level. Watch a demonstration of how I solved this issue at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27KpVZJXLZc For those interested in replicating my project, the source code can be found on GitHub. Print Settings Used: Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm Infill: 10% Notes: First print was done using Clear ABS with a Moroccanstar infill pattern for improved aesthetic and durability. This project began by importing the .STL file into OpenSCAD, where I overlaid an extruded rectangle to cover the specified area. By tweaking this rectangle's dimensions, I determined that a 3mm height would suffice for covering all openings effectively.
