Fully customizable LED-Pixel Neon Lamp with socket
thingiverse
I printed some other LED lamps from Thingiverse, but i wanted one, where you customize the shape. So I wrote a not so fast openSCAD script. which extrudes a given 2d Form over a path of 2d coordinates. You can use the Inkscape extension, to draw a simple line and then export the point coordinates.Paste these in the data.scad file and then start the generator script. It makes a really cool gift, with all the parts and electronics at home I make a fully assembled Lamp from scratch in 1-2h excl. printing time. I used a small Attiny 13A for the controller.I will create a Github for the project, where you can get the board files and program. The sample is a big butterfly, which fits on a P1P or X1Carbon. Credits to Simarius and Neon22 from the inkscape forums for the basic python extension. I edited it, so it export the openscad points directly.(https://alpha.inkscape.org/vectors/www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopicdb3f.html)The documentation is still work in progress, so stay tuned. The Butterfly is not the same in the picture.
