If you are looking for more, check out our premium projects: https://codeandmake.com/premium OpenSCAD Customizer Options This design has the following Customizer options: General Material_Thickness - Thickness of the material Gap_Percent - Amount of material to remove from gap points Leaves Leaf_Length - Length of each leaf (X axis) Leaf_Width - Width of each leaf (Y axis) Knuckles Knuckles - Total number of knuckles Large_Knuckle_Recesses - Use if you need up to 270 degrees of rotation Screws Screw_Holes_Per_Leaf - Number of screw holes per leaf Screw_Hole_Diameter - The diameter of the screw hole Screw_Head_Diameter - The diameter of the screw head Screw_Head_Countersink_Angle - Screw countersink angle (82 and 90 are common) Preview Only Part - Part(s) to show in preview mode Sleeve_Leaf_Rotation - Rotation of sleeve leaf in preview mode Design Considerations This is a print-in-place design, meaning it is intended to be printed at a single part. The pin section will have a tendency to sag. To counteract this, you should favour a higher number of Knuckles, as this will reduce the length of each pin section. You should also use a moderate Gap_Percentage, but note that too much of a gap will can cause unwanted travel in the final part (X axis), so use your judgement and adjust it suit to the other parameters you have chosen. Whilst this design can support a small amount of weight, it is not intended to be load bearing. However, it may be possible to increase it's strength a little by increasing the Material_Thickness. Material We recommend printing this in a durable filament, such as ABS or nylon. Versions 1.0 (27 May 2021) - Initial version Printing Recommended slicer settings: Resolution: 0.1mm - 0.2mm Infill: ~50% - ~80% recommended. Supports: Not required. Rafts: Not required, unless you experience adhesion issues. We also recommend printing this with a high cooling fan speed, to help reduce sagging of the pin.
