This innovative locking and unlocking twistlock operates automatically, providing ease-of-use, speed, and stability compared to current container locks. Its construction resembles a standard twistlock, as does its mounting process. When a transport machine arrives, it pushes a pin that activates the mechanism, opening the lock. Conversely, upon departure of the machine, the mechanism automatically closes the lock. This fully automatic twistlock has great potential for efficiency; however, consideration must be given to calculating spring power, pin height relative to machine size, and material strength to ensure optimal performance against environmental disturbances.
