Fully automatic 3D printed cigarette stuffing machine with Arduino / Construction/Technical Details

<p>Important notice:<br>Unfortunately, according to the law, it is not allowed to sell automatic cigarette plugging machines in Europe. Until I have more information about this, I will have to delete the 3D models temporarily.</p><p>In this video I build a 3D printed fully automatic cigarette stuffing machine. The machine is controlled by an Arduino. The motors are driven by an AF Motorshield V1. I had to do a lot of testing to build a functional machine. A lot of power is needed to press the tobacco. I achieve this through a knee lever construction. An IGUS steep thread spindle is used to drive the press. I have tried some tests with a M6 threaded rod. However, this does not work very well. A threaded rod has a lot of frictional losses and cannot provide the required force. The machine would work better with stronger motors. However, you are limited to 600mA by the motorshield.
