If you're looking for an entirely new version of the gift card, check out my recent <b>Davinci inspired catapult gift card</b> here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4067668. A quick note: 02/04/2020 - I've added a revised manual for the updated gift cards 1 and 2 V2 which includes all additional parts. You can choose to print both gift cards to give them as a present or to assemble them yourself and relive some childhood memories. You can also print all the parts separately so you don't have to remove any card material. The entire car can be assembled without needing any glue. The print time for gift card 1 (the one with the most parts) is about four hours, while the print time for gift card 2 (the one with wheels) is approximately two hours. I decided to print them with a hundred percent infill because there wasn't much difference with twenty-five percent infill; the print time was roughly the same. Another reason for a hundred percent infill is that the spring prints better. I tried to arrange all parts on the card so it's possible to print the two cards in different colors and still look great (for example, not one wheel on one card and three others on the other). The original idea of making a 3D-printable gift card came from a Christmas reindeer model I saw on Thingiverse. I thought it would be nice to design a gift card with mechanical pieces so people could see what is possible with 3D printing (combination of gears, springs, and clickers). Everything was built from scratch. Mainly because all parts had to be relatively flat in order for it to become a card. I used Fusion 360 to design all parts, mainly because it has an easy-to-use gear generator and because (in my opinion) Fusion is a very user-friendly program.
