Fully 3D Printable RC Vehicle (Improved from previously posted)

The vehicle I built was motivated by the OPENRC Project's innovative design. I aimed to create something even simpler in terms of mechanics, leveraging the DJI phantom brushless motors and various other aerial RC components I had on hand. These parts stood out because they offered a unique approach that I hadn't seen before. Drivetrain: The rear wheels feature the motors directly integrated into them, eliminating the need for shafts, gearing, belts, and costly linkages. This results in an exceptionally fast vehicle with high torque capabilities - although I'm cautious about going full throttle due to limited space for my RC car. ESC selection is critical; I utilized different ESCs (Simon K and non-Simon K) and discovered that the non-Simon K model delivered more torque. Steering and Front End: The steering system employs two 9g servos that are an integral part of the top A-arm. As the servo moves in sync with suspension travel, it eliminates the need for a complex linkage system. Wheels: To build this vehicle, you'll require custom-made wheels. I designed and printed road and off-road sets; however, my wheels may not fit standard tires due to their unique design. To adapt the wheel setup easily, I made sure it's straightforward to modify. For the front wheels, a skateboard bearing enables free rotation, while rear wheels utilize the motor of your choice - affecting the inner wheel diameter. Printed parts: When printing the parts, I recommend using high-density infill to ensure structural integrity. Initially, I used 20% infill with PLA but encountered issues due to a crash during early development. I used PLA for all printed components, although I initially intended to use ABS; unfortunately, my heated bed couldn't maintain it properly. Transmitter compatibility is not an issue as long as your servos are correctly mixed to move in sync. Building: To facilitate assembly, I've included screenshots and CAD software files. If you have any questions or concerns about the assembly process, please feel free to leave a comment, and I'll do my best to assist you. Enjoy watching the video: https://youtu.be/yQFBOyBylDg
