A skibike, for those unfamiliar, is a winter device that guarantees a smile on your face as you glide down the slopes. Its frame, constructed from 4130 Cr-Mo tubing, boasts dimensions of 30mm OD top tube, 35mm downtube, and 40mm swingarms for both front and rear. A 20cm long front shock provides over 130mm travel, while the rear sports a 19cm length and 125mm travel. Coil shocks are recommended for those under 350 lbs/in for optimal performance. The headtube angle of 70 degrees and short swingarm offer excellent maneuverability, similar to XC mountain bikes. A removable moto-style seat caters to riders who prefer standing on pegs; the seat base is made from 6mm thick Baltic birch plywood and connected to the main frame using machined aluminum clamps. Moto X footpegs are widely available, while skis for this project feature Revel 8 Blunt 88cm length. Stainless steel tubing, 80/60mm in size and 3mm thick, is used for ski mounts. The hubs have press-fit flanged sealed bearings F6200-2RS 10x30x9 with a 10mm bolt/axle, and a 10mm through axle can also be utilized. Both front and rear swingarms rotate around a 30mm OD pivot tube, using LFM-3034-16 IGUS polymer bushings. The complete assembly should weigh under 25lbs
