Full Sized Wizard Wand or Staff

Create your personalized wizard staff or wand with this set of parts, inspired by the Bo Staff (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:221634). A 3-fingered claw and an orb adorn the top for fun suitable for all ages. If you desire a different design, feel free to suggest it or even create your own using Thing# 218949 as a starting point. The staff posts can fit in a cap according to default parameters provided in the oscad file. Print the parts without supports, at medium quality in Makerware (0.2 mm layer height, 10% infill) using a Replicator 2 in PLA. A 2 linkers and a 40mm radius orb create a good-sized wand. Measuring 5'10", I used 11 connectors, 10 linkers, one end cap and an orb to achieve my staff length. Assemble the parts by hand; they fit tightly, so apply force gently to avoid snapping the posts. For easier assembly, put a linker on each post first before connecting them together.
