Full Sized Wizard Wand or Staff

Expanding on my Bo Staff (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:221634), here's a set of parts for Wizard staff or wand. I added a 3-fingered claw and an orb to the top. Fun for all ages. If anyone likes this, but wants a different design to put on the top, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Or, you could design your own using Thing# 218949 as the start point. The posts for the staff will fit in a cap using the default parameters in the posted oscad file. Instructions Sliced at Medium quality in Makerware (0.2 mm layer height, 10% infill). Printed on a Replicator 2 in PLA. All parts are printable without supports. You get a bit of drooping at the connector edges, but it can be trimmed easily with a razor blade or by hand (if you have small hands). 2 linkers and the 40mm radius orb make a good sized wand. I'm 5'10" and it took 11 connectors, 10 linkers, and 1 end caps and one orb to get a staff my height. Once all the parts were printed, I snapped them together by hand. It's a tight fit, so you need to wiggle them together a little bit at a time. If you apply too much force, the posts can snap. To reduce the damage from a break, I put a linker on each of the posts first, then started linking the posts together. Category: Props
