Fujita Scale: 3D Design Challenge
thingiverse
The Fujita Scale 3D Design Challenge invites entrants to create a series of 3D printable models depicting tornado damage categories from F0-F5. To be judged on accuracy, realism, printability and an optional bonus category detailing the design process or tornado info, entries must accurately represent the Fujita Scale categories and be printed on most consumer FDM printers. Prizes include a 3D Design Champion card, with physical cards mailed within the US and digital for international winners. Entries received before April 30th 2014, linked as remixes of this thing, will be considered. More information about the challenge's origins and examples from a 2013 STEM camp can be found at designmaketeach.com. Original Tinkercad models are available for reference. Please contact @DesignMakeTeach on Twitter or Facebook with any questions or comments regarding 3D printing, STEM and Learning by Making.
