Fujita Scale: 3D Design Challenge
pinshape
The Fujita Scale 3D Design Challenge is to create a series of 3D printable models that illustrate the categories of tornado damage from F0-F5. Entries will be judged on four Criteria: Accuracy, Realism, Printability, and a Bonus Category for Description of design process. Models must accurately represent the Fujita Scale categories, with meteorologists or engineers agreeing with classifications. Models should also show realistic man-made structures and vegetation. Additionally, models must be printable on most consumer FDM printers. A bonus category awards designs that describe their process, models, and/or tornado information. The winner receives a 3D Design Champion card, mailed within the US or digitally to international winners. Designs received before April 30th, 2014, linked as a remix of this challenge will be considered.
