Fujifilm X-T20 and X-T10 Base Grip with Manfrotto RC2 QR Plate

Fujifilm X-T20 and X-T10 Base Grip with Manfrotto RC2 QR Plate

thingiverse

This is a custom grip designed specifically for FujiFilm X-T20 and X-T10 cameras. It enables users to mount a Manfrotto RC2 quick release plate directly onto the camera while maintaining accessibility to the battery compartment and SD card slot. By dividing the design into two distinct parts, it becomes possible to securely attach the QR plate almost parallel to the lens axis. This clever design also shifts the user's palm away from the menu button cluster, providing a more comfortable grip on the camera. Furthermore, since the QR plate is likely to wear out over time, the 2-part design ensures that only the plate needs to be replaced if it becomes damaged or worn. Please note that this design relies on a unique Cap Head, Hex Socket machine screw rather than a standard tripod screw. However, I plan to obtain some standard tripod screws in the near future and update the design accordingly. To assemble the custom grip, you will need 4 M4 Pan Head machine screws and nuts with a length of 20mm to securely attach the QR plate to the base.
