After crafting the replica extension tube developed by IGFARM, I noticed that on my X_T2, it failed to secure firmly in position on the camera body. To address this issue, I enlarged the surface area of the camera contact point and inserted a notch for the pin to click into place. By reversing the orientation specified by the manufacturer, I ensured that only minimal support was required for the top clips.
