What are the chances of someone facing the same challenge in mounting an instrument mic on a fujara? Who can say, but this is a top-notch professional-grade attachment for capturing the fujara's unique sound. It features a sturdy buckle that securely clips the Apex 565 instrument clip-on microphone. The buckle is attached to the fujara via a 2-inch stretchy band with velcro on both ends. Interestingly, the band is actually an Elite Hockey Shin Pad Strap, but I had to add a small pocket in the middle due to its excessive length. This pocket also serves as a convenient loop for threading the cable. To ensure proper printing, it requires a support in the middle to maintain the "roof" structure. Additionally, I applied a leather backing to prevent any potential imprints on the wood if the clip remains in place for an extended period. When miking the fujara, it's essential to position the mic above the soundhole, angling it to capture only the sound and not the air stream. This precise positioning is crucial for achieving optimal results. I'm thrilled with the outcome, exceeding my expectations by a significant margin – a full 150% satisfaction rate.
