Fucktopus (Magnetic, no supports remix)
thingiverse
I've added magnetized versions, one regular size with three magnets and another 30% scale with just two magnets. These are the magnets I designed them for: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B3SDRCP/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've sliced this model multiple ways now using Slic3r and printed it in various ways on my Mk3 and Mk2.5. Here's what I've learned: * Slice with the 'ensure vertical shell thickness' option enabled * Use four perimeters with a 0.4mm nozzle * Adjust infill from 0-10% depending on how much handling is expected * Apply a big brim if unsure about adhesion * Calibrate retraction settings to prevent fingers from appearing distorted * Conceal them in discreet locations for friends or your spouse to discover I created a new middle finger/hand model where the fingers don't require supports, and I replaced all the hands on the original fucktopus with it. I printed it once at 35% scale with three perimeters, a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.45mm perimeter width and 0.2mm layer height, and no infill. The hands look great, but the top of the head didn't fill correctly. Next time, I'll add some infill to make it perfect.
