Fu Mask Fabric Cutting Template
thingiverse
A local hospital recently reached out to Mary's quilting group with an urgent request: they needed help sewing cloth covers to extend the life of their medical-grade N95 masks. The recommended pattern was the [Fu Face Mask](https://freesewing.org/blog/facemask-frenzy/) from the popular online community, FreeSewing, which features a generous design that leaves plenty of room for a mask underneath. To create the mask, start by tracing around the interior of the template to mark the nominal fabric outline. This is where you'll sew the seams. Next, trace the exterior of the template to add a 1/4 inch (6.35 mm) seam allowance. Please note that this mask should not be used as a standalone medical-grade filter; it's intended for use with an existing N95 mask.
