FTX Mauler One Handed Steering
thingiverse
When rock crawling with RC, it's incredibly useful to have all RC functions at your fingertips - literally - especially when embarking on longer trail runs. This print securely attaches to the FTX standard controller, empowering you to steer the car using your middle finger while your index finger takes control of the throttle. A subtle indent in the center of the steering arm accommodates your finger, and surprisingly, it works equally well from either side. In practice, I've found no issues with the steering arm attached, allowing me to steer with my other hand; in fact, I believe it enhances accuracy. The steering extension is effortlessly secured around the control wheel using a robust M4 hex bolt (15mm), two precision-crafted washers, and a secure nut. The process is remarkably straightforward. To ensure an absolute perfect fit and provide ample access to tighten the M4 nut, the files have undergone extensive tweaking and improvement from their original printed version featured in the photo. Currently, I'm actively working on a modified version for the FlySky GT3 controller. This new design should be uploaded soon, bringing even more exciting possibilities to RC enthusiasts.
