I am experimenting with a 3D model of a sphere, created using 123D Design to test shelling and splitting techniques on complex shapes. The B side's distinctive lip was inspired by a tutorial from Adafruit that emphasized adding a lip for improved friction fitment. To bring this design to life, I used HIPS filament and am currently refining the surface in an acetone vapor bath.
