FTC Intake System for Minerals (New Version) - Rover Ruckus
grabcad
This design is for the FIRST Tech Challenge Rover Ruckus (2018-19) intake system, created by a team member. The rotating part features Tetrix treads, while protruding white pieces are made of corrugated plastic. Zip-ties were added between treads for enhanced mineral collection. Pros include easy mineral intake and ejection, and minimal penalty due to the two-mineral limit. Potential cons involve gear slipping, but chains can be used as an alternative. The design uses Tetrix or Rev Robotics components, except for a custom-made piece. It is one of three main parts of the robot by team 9970 Stellar Pixels; feedback and questions are welcome. Donations can be made through GoFundMe or messaging via GrabCad.
