FTC battery case
thingiverse
This is a battery holder for tetrix style NiMH batteries. The point of this design is to reduce the amount of space needed to store the battery on the robot compared to the metal battery mounts that tetrix sells. In addition, this battery mount is very lightweight, and can easily hold a battery in upside down with a simple press fit. You will need to tune your horizontal expansion pretty well for this design, or you will have to manually drill out the mounting holes along the bottom. PLA should work fine for this part, but my team uses mostly ABS or Nylon for structural parts on our robot. Also, a firm TPU works well for this design.
