FTC battery case
thingiverse
This is a battery holder designed specifically for tetrix style NiMH batteries. The primary objective of this design is to minimize the space required to store the battery on the robot, compared to metal battery mounts sold by tetrix. Furthermore, this battery mount is remarkably lightweight and can effortlessly hold a battery in place with its simple press fit mechanism. To successfully implement this design, it's crucial to fine-tune your horizontal expansion settings or manually drill out the mounting holes along the bottom of the component. It's worth noting that PLA should work well for printing this part, but my team generally uses ABS or Nylon for our robot's structural components due to their superior strength and durability. Additionally, a firm TPU works exceptionally well with this design.
