FT5 Z Stop FolgerTech Titan V6
thingiverse
This is a modification from the original by Morskipas, extended to accommodate the longer body of the E3D Titan V6 mounted on the 713Maker.com bracket. Assembly is straightforward and easy. Print with orientation as shown in the accompanying image. To begin, disconnect the power supply, remove the Z stop from the thin supplied bracket, and install it on the newly printed bracket, which has space for back of board solder tails. Next, install T nuts and hex bolts. Mount the assembly on a 20x20 rail. Retrieve a long bolt and a nut left over from the build - there should be several available. Obtain a small washer and a pen spring by ripping apart an old pen, not your wife's favorite, if you will. Finally, secure the top with a square nut. Assemble all components as shown in the accompanying photo. Once assembled, perform a rough auto-home adjustment, followed by fine adjustments made by moving the screw up or down as needed. Printer: FolgerTech FT5 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.200 Infill: 95% Notes: High infill is recommended for this part due to frequent flexing under use, with every z home command causing slight bending. At 95% infill, the part becomes very strong and can be threaded if necessary. Post-Printing: Assemble as shown here. Part 1 will include this bracket; Part 2 will feature the bracket (currently being filmed). How I Designed This What I Used? I am brand new to 3D printing and modeling. Given my inexperience, I utilized Tinkercad for design. The file was imported from Thingiverse into Tinkercad. Using tools and primitives within Tinkercad, I copied the original file. Finally, I added text branding it FT5. Enjoy!
