FT5 New back with integrated belt locks

This is a newly designed backplate for the rigid header that comes equipped with integrated beltlocks specifically tailored for GT2 belts. Simply feed the belt through the slit, insert the lock and give it a gentle tug: locked. Now, push the belt and watch as the lock effortlessly unlocks. There's no need to worry about getting the belt through the holes or locking them down with tiewraps - this backplate has got you covered. The added benefit of eliminating the holes means that the backplate will be even more rigid than before. For those who want to incorporate these locks into their own design, take note: the locks themselves have an angle of 17.1°, and while you might be able to disregard the 0.1°, it's worth keeping in mind nonetheless. Printing The backplate was printed with a 0.6mm nozzle using ABS, with a layer thickness of 0.4mm up until the beltlocks themselves. From there on out, layers were reduced to 0.2mm (due to the intricate details involved in the beltlock design). A generous infill of 60% honeycomb was used throughout. Be sure to check the support generated by your slicer - a picture has been included for reference. For S3D users, I've also included the factory file for easy access. The locking parts themselves were printed with a 0.4mm nozzle in order to achieve a good grip on the belt. Testing This combination has undergone thorough testing and has proven itself to be more than suitable for use. The beltlocks have been put through their paces, holding firm even during randomized X-movement patterns at varying speeds and have even withstood a significant amount of ABS printing over the past few days. Stress testing involving random moves at high speed (240mm/s) can be seen in this video. Use the FT8 from this design for improved belt alignment.
